Here's a short behind the scenes video from my Cypress Hill shoot for LA Weekly. I had an hour with them and this is from the beginning of the shoot, the "getting to know them" and the first few min of shooting. This is the first location out of two. These guys are still rad and I really dig their new song Get it Anyway. Check it out! as well as the cover, out Thursday. Art Direction- Darrick Rainey
Damian Edwards
Crystal Antlers played a pre-Grammy show with the Roots. It was fun and Damian looked dapper.

Cover for The District
I shot this week's cover and feature story for The District Weekly. Markus, Albert and Mark are reinventing LB Basement Lounge and kickin it off with party weirdo this saturday. Check it out if you can!
Cover and new portraits for The Best of LB
I shot this week's cover for The District Weekly Best of LB issue. Crystal Antlers and I went over to the pumpkin patch on PCH and got this shot of them jumping on the bouncy castle. This was harder than it looks and I only got 2 decent shots. You can't get much 'air' on those things! I got on and jumped as well while trying to take some shots. It was super funny and I think my camera hit me in the head a few times. view my website for more crystal antlers photos
I also shot portraits of Paper Planes, Reid, Diane Ripley and Liza of Phantom Gallery.

Buddyhead and Dios
I shot Travis Keller of the infamous Buddyhead.com music gossip site last week for LA Weekly. Issue is out this week.

Dios is one of the first bands on the new Buddyhead label. It was fun shooting them cause I've know Patrick Butterworth for years and used to go see his old band Shoegazer play. Good ol' days..
I'll be posting the tears on my site soon.

Geoff Muldaur for Fretboard Journal
I photographed Geoff Muldaur a while back for The Fretboard Journal and the issue is finally out, on stands now. If you've never seen the magazine, you'll be happily amazed at the print quality and photography. I worked with art director Patrick Barber on the shoot and I like how he gives photographers full pages, no crop bleeds. Check it out if you can. Here's the cover and first page of the spread.

YACHT

I have a photo of Yacht out in this month's issue of Death + Taxes magazine. Jona and Claire are talented musicans out of Portland, OR. Poor Jona was sick when we shot this but we were able to knock out a few different options in an hour.

Here's a few more photos from the shoot and the amazing dome house we got to use.

The Submarines
I shot last week's music issue cover of the LA Weekly, the band The Submarines. Also got to go see them perform live at the Wiltern with the Brazilian Girls. They are so talented and Blake has an amazing voice. Check them out if you haven't heard them. I'll post tears soon.

Darker My Love

I shot Darker My Love thursday evening for D+T magazine. Here's an outtake from our setup. I will show tears and the final shots when the issue is out, so stay tuned. The guys were so nice and fun. They made up a little jingle during the last frames- "this is the best photoshoot...I've ever haaaad". I don't know how true that is but it sure made me blush. They have a new album out on Dangerbird Records that is REally GOod, check it out!
